On-Call Kukui's Cashiers (Finance)
The Outlet Cashier will assist in collecting payment, by accepting cash, checks, credit card or room authorization payments as well as makes change for customers. Verifies credit acceptance and operates credit card authorization systems. Balances the cash drawer by counting cash at the beginning and end of the work shift. Assist with customer order taking, bagging, and making sure that the customers order has been completed.
Job Description
Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:
• Process any food and beverage payments, providing change and receipts.
• Processing discounts and coupons.
• Assisting with putting takeout orders in container bags
• Answering customer questions, making recommendations, and upselling food and beverage items.
• Assisting with or taking customers' orders and overseeing customers order completion.
• Booking reservations.
• Maintaining cleanliness in register stations and tables.
• Closing or cashing out the register at the end of the shift.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Display daily professional, courteous, attentive, helpful, and positive attitude towards all guests, fellow employees, and managers.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team to reach common goals.
• Perform other job duties as requested by supervisors/managers as other job duties may be assigned as needed.
• Understanding Sonesta's company and safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and the health department requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Valid Driver's License preferred.
• Highschool diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Point of Sales system preferred.
• Ability to complete accurate sales transactions.
• Professional verbal communication skills.
• Reading and writing abilities to understand departmental correspondence and complete all required departmental documents.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including dealing with difficult guests.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Work Environment:
• Must be able work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, and stooping. Climb ladders of various heights
• Ability to stand entire shift.
Expected Hours of Work:
• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
• Must be flexible to work various days and various shifts of the week to include weekends, holidays, days, nights and overnight.
• Regular attendance in conformance with the standards which have been established by the hotel from time to time is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Pay Range
$29.12 - $31.48 Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience.
