Process Tech - Finishing (7am to 7:30pm) (Sales)
Qualifications:
Minimum of one-year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment and machine operationWilling to learn and exhibit flexibility with a variety of manufacturing work tasksPositive team playerGood organizational and decision-making skillsAttention to detail
Essential Duties:
Contributes to different departments day to day as needed Cross-train to perform various tasks in machine operation, assembly, and mfg. processes Responsible for keeping the work area clean, safe, and organized in alignment with Company standards Responsible for completing work orders executed per the schedule and in sequence Responsible for leading by example when it comes to attendance, complying with PPE requirements, and driving overall compliance with standard work operations Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have basic ability for reading and writing, perform basic math skills and the ability to read a measuring tape. Must exhibit a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing hourly goals and problem solving. Must perform machine adjustments and change over Must be able to distinguish various wood species
Education and/or Experience
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Work experience is accepted in lieu of education Machine operation experience is preferred
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
Wood products manufacturing environment, possibly including heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
