Your impact as a Laboratory Assistant II, is vital. Support Vitalant's life saving mission by preparing routine specimens and performing supplementary tasks to aid in testing. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely, high-quality, test results, while maintaining accurate record-keeping.
What to Expect
Schedule: We currently have 2 openings for Part-Time -24 hours per week (flexibility to switch days for PTO coverage if needed)
1. Monday-Wednesday -rotates - 8:30AM -5PM OR 8:00AM -4:30PM
2. Wednesay-Friday-rotates-8:30AM -5PM OR 8:00AM -4:30PM

- Unbox samples received from both internal and external customers, identifying unacceptable or missing samples, labels or paperwork and promptly reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Support in the management and ordering of supplies, reagents, as required.
- Aid in the processing of bio-waste, specimens and micro-plates.
- Execute the receipt and preparation of samples.
- Pack and ship and deliver supplies and/or specimens to customers.
Requirements
- High School or GED required.
- Valid in-state drivers license required.
- One year of related experience required.
