Our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Architect will play a crucial role in optimizing and maintaining the MS D365 platform for the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will work closely with other architects, developers, administrators, business stakeholders, and end-users to understand requirements, implement changes, and ensure the smooth operation of D365 systems. The successful candidate will have an understanding of D365 functionalities, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. We're seeking team members to help modernize and enhance enterprise systems that connect healthcare providers directly with millions of US veterans seeking care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Analyze customer needs and develop overall design concept and objectives with an eye to performance, architecture, and security.
· Develop MS Dynamics 365 cloud solutions based on business requirements.
· Participate in requirements analysis.
· Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture that utilize the out-of-the-box tools of Dynamics 365 before developing custom code.
· Leverage Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Pages.
· Create Power Apps to be used in the Dynamics 365 application.
· Configure Teams and Business units as well as Security Roles for use with Dynamics 365.
· Leverage technology like javascript and liquid templating, Advanced Find and fetchxml and XRMToolBox in the solution.
· Configure entities, forms, views, and other custom components.
· Create both managed and unmanaged solutions.
· Interface Dynamics 365 with SharePoint for the storage of documents.
· Write clean, scalable, efficient plugin code using C# .Net or JavaScript.
· Test and deploy applications and systems including Dynamics 365 Plugins and Azure App Services.
· Revise, update, refactor, and debug code.
· Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing Dynamics 365 applications.
· Monitor inbound data streams and respond to issues and interruptions.
· Address 508 Compliance within the solution.
· Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
· Support junior developers.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a MS D365 Architect
· Experience configuring and creating solutions in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
· Experience with D365 Modules Customer Insights, Business Central, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain Modules as well as Power Platform Apps, Pages, etc.
· Experience with FetchXML, Advanced Find, and other tools used with configuration.
· Experience configuring managed connections with other Microsoft products like Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Power BI.
· Understanding of customizing workflows and supporting integration with code.
· Knowledge of customizations using JavaScript or Power Automate.
· Experience working in an Agile Team Framework.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
· Experience working with Federal agencies is a plus.
· On the job experience with maintaining and/or building APIs.
· Practical experience with Azure Functions.
· Practical experience with Azure App Services.
· Experience with Dynamics Portals/ADX Studio.
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
CLEARANCE:
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
