Gardening Crew Leader
Job Summary:
The Gardening Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing and directing a team of gardeners in the maintenance and upkeep of outdoor living spaces. Their primary duties include managing crew schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring that all gardening work is completed to the highest quality standards. They are also responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients, addressing any concerns or requests, and ensuring their satisfaction. Additionally, they may be involved in the selection and procurement of plants, materials, and equipment needed for gardening projects. Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Sowing, cultivation, and propagation of plants, trees, and shrubs
Application of chemical and organic herbicides, pesticides,s, and fertilizers
Trimming and pruning of plants
Soil management activities
Cleaning and weeding
Dig, lift, operate small machines
Load tools and equipment on and off trailers and trucks
Move and install soil, mulch, and plant material to assist with the construction of landscape gardens and related areas
Work strategically to perform tasks safely, efficiently, and effectively
Work with urgency and purpose
Communicate with customers in a professional, polite, and courteous manner
