Health Analyst/ DPSS Doula Program Coordinator (MCAH) (AAIMM) (Personal Services)

Since 2018, DPH, in partnership with First 5 LA and community-based organizations, has also operated a broad African American Infant & Maternal Mortality Prevention Initiative (AAIMM) to address the disparities in maternal and infant mortality caused by the societal and physiological effects of racism and discrimination. The AAIMM Doula Program launched in 2019 to match Black pregnant individuals with skilled Black birth doulas who provide support, advocacy, and education throughout the perinatal period.
For the first time, pregnant CalWORKs home visiting program participants will have direct access to doula services via the AAIMM Doula Program and community-based doula programs.
This is a full-time benefitted position. Employment is provided by Heluna Health.
The pay rate for this position is $94,473.60 annually.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Perinatal Innovation Unit Chief in the DPH Division of Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health, the Health Analyst/DPSS AAIMM Doula Program Coordinator (Coordinator) will be responsible for implementing doula services for all pregnant CalWORKs home visiting program participants who desire them.
