SVP - USDA Production (Project Management)
Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all USDA production activities.
Assess and enhance the structure and strategy of the non-guaranteed secondary marketing team to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and manage USDA loan portfolios, including maturing loans, past-due accounts, exceptions, and deposit relationships.
Analyze loan requests and prepare written proposals for the Executive Loan Committee.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial analyses, loan monitoring activities, and annual exposure reviews to maintain a robust credit portfolio.
Oversee the origination and closing process for loan requests.
Ensure compliance with government regulations and internal bank policies.
Build and maintain community relationships to identify and create new business opportunities for USDA loans, investment products, and treasury management services.
Supervise and provide direction to support staff as needed.
Complete all required annual training.
Actively participate in bank and community activities.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
This position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and relationship-building skills to drive growth and ensure compliance within the USDA production and related banking services.
Thorough understanding of USDA lending principles and practices as well as knowledge of government and compliance regulations.
Advanced financial analysis skills, strong negotiation and sales skills.
In-depth knowledge of credit analysis.
Well-organized and good time management skills.
Ability to build professional relationships with coworkers and customers.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong sense of initiative; self-motivated; work well without close supervision.
Interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization to include coaching and management.
Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience and Education Requirements:
Minimum five (5) years of portfolio management experience, required.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of five (5) years of work experience.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Demonstrated excellence in working with peer teams across organizations.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and banking software programs and platforms.
