JOB SUMMARY
Working within the Philadelphia Department of Public Health's Division of Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction, the Harm Reduction Coordinator supports data collection and harm reduction activities for the Division of Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction (SUPHR) at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH). This includes engaging with people who use drugs and other community stakeholders to conduct surveys, distribute harm reduction resources, and support SUPHR's surveillance drug checking program. The Harm Reduction Coordinator also supports harm reduction and overdose reversal trainings, and other programs within SUPHR to provide harm reduction resources and education. Lastly, the Harm Reduction Coordinator will support collaboration with other City Departments and Agencies, and partner organizations to conduct field data collection, and increase uptake of harm reduction best practices.

Education
Work Environment: Field-based with a touch down office space.
Position Type and Work Schedule: Full time position, typical hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. May be designated as essential staff to work non-traditional hours during public health emergencies. This is a grant-funded position; thus, continuation of the position depends on the continued availability of funds.
Travel: Local travel to multiple sites and community meetings, daily.
Physical Demands: Ability to transport materials, routinely moves equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
