Event Manager (Finance)
Communicate via email and phone with Staffing Department, Event Coordinators, FOH event staff, vendors and other necessary departments prior to event and on event day
Download and use scheduling app to request and manage your schedule
Manage FOH staff while overseeing all other aspects of the event
Opening and closing duties based on venue protocol
Greet clients/VIPs and their guests; provide excellent customer service and exquisite hospitality, while providing delicious cuisine and a 5-star experience
Facilitate event-day meetings and check-ins with Event Coordinators, FOH team, Event Chef, Facilities, vendors, and clients; delegate tasks throughout the day as necessary
Lead the FOH team (10-20 employees) in event setup based on BEO and SOS
Reception/Ballroom, Cocktail Hour Spaces, Bars, Ceremony, Bathrooms, Suites, Outdoor spaces, etc.
Point of contact for vendors on event day
Maintain timeline and communicate all changes to necessary parties
Point-person on reception floor during serve out
Direct and oversee serve out, ensuring guests receive the proper dish and address any issues as needed
Constant communication with expo (EC) and kitchen staff
Effectively communicate with Peachtree team via walkie talkie
Linen, equipment and rental management on event day
Plan and execute for a quick breakdown/flip; oversee reception flip, truck packout, venue cleaning, etc.
Responsible for making sure that all closing and cleaning duties are completed by Peachtree team (FOH/BOH/Facilities); event space is ready for next day
Oversee bartenders' liquor packout; inventory all liquor on provided sheet
Pre-Event Prep
Review BEO, floor plans, and other event documents and emails from Staffing Manager and Event Coordinator
Create and submit an SOS in advance of event day; includes set-up assignments, table assignments, station assignments, greeters, a timeline, and FOH call outs
Post-Event
Fill out event recap and employee evaluation forms
Available for email/call with Staffing Manager/HR/EC to address any major issue
Qualifications
2+ years of FOH experience working in banquets and events, preferably in both an on-premise and off-premise capacity
1+ years of managerial or floor captain experience
Experience with timeline coordination & execution, event set up/breakdown, venue management, equipment & rental inventory, buffet & plated dinner service, vendor communication and beverage management
Excellent time management, attention to detail and follow-up skills are required
Comfortable leading a team of 10-20 FOH event staff from setup to breakdown
Quick, effective problem solving abilities; calm under pressure
Reliable transportation (personal vehicle, public transportation, rideshare, etc)
Open weekend availability is essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Access to a computer & the internet
Polished, professional appearance and demeanor
Fine dining and hospitality experience a plus
Not required but a preferred:
RAMP certification
SafeServe certification
First Aid/CPR/AED certification,
Wine expertise, bartending training, and food & beverage knowledge
