MQ: Requires singular knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. No experience is required.

We are looking for a postdoc with experience in immunology and cancer immunotherapy. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical assistance and support for a translational research lab that focuses on developing novel strategies to improve the efficacy of immunotherapy to treat immune-related diseases. This person will plan and carry out various research projects as assigned and aid professional laboratory staff in the research lab headed by the Principle Investigator (PI). This person makes uses of a variety of specialized equipment typical within area of specialization and may contribute to grant proposal development. This research position will directly report to the laboratory PI. Our group does research on tumor immunology mainly on tumor immune evasion mechanisms and the development of effective cancer immunotherapy. We are seeking a candidate with solid experience on cancer biology, basic and translational immunology, and genetically modified animal models. This includes but not limits to, experience in molecular cloning, high-throughput genetic screens, flow cytometry analyses and murine tumor models.
Duties: Plans and conducts research in one or more large and complex areas of specialization. Reviews progress of projects. May liaison with other areas of specialization to obtain support or technical expertise for projects. Defines procedures or processes to be used in the experimental processes. May personally conduct important and/or technically complex investigations.
Supervision: Operates with wide latitude for unreviewed action subject only to institutional policies and guidelines and ethical considerations. Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
• PhD degree in Immunology or other related biology fields
• At least 1-year animal research experience
• Record of research accomplishments
