As a Release Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient deployment of Low-Code/No-Code (LCNC) applications and updates. This position requires a deep understanding of LCNC release management processes, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the release cycles to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Get involved in sprint planning to fully understand what's coming down the pipeline and gear up for upcoming releases.
Stay on top of updating Jira regularly. It's crucial for keeping everyone in the loop on where things stand.
Write up detailed release notes that neatly wrap up what's new and improved in each release.
Keep a sharp eye on every release to ensure they meet our high standards for compliance and quality.
Lead critical go/no-go meetings to decide if we're all set to launch, based on the latest tests and feedback.
Work closely with our dev and QA teams to double-check builds are top-notch and deployment ready.
Lay out clear deployment strategies and pinpoint what infrastructure we need to ensure smooth rollouts.
Stay alert during deployments and be ready to steer the ship back if anything goes sideways.
Keep all key players well-informed about release progress and details—communication is key!
Manage and update the release calendar so everyone knows what's releasing when.
Take charge of rolling out urgent fixes and patches swiftly and efficiently.
Oversee all testing and validation efforts to make sure our system is 100% ready for the public.
Ensure that version control is tight across all environments, keeping everything consistent.
Organize and oversee all deployments, ensuring they run smoothly from Dev to Production.
Keep our release procedures well-documented, and have rollback plans ready just in case.
Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and other stakeholders to nail each release.
Build detailed plans that lay out every milestone we need to hit before going live.
Offer hands-on support during deployments to troubleshoot any issues on the spot.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Release Manager.
Proven experience as an LCNC Release Manager.
Skilled in creating and maintaining detailed release documentation, from technical design docs to user guides.
Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Copado, or similar for tracking release progress and coordination.
Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN for managing our codebase effectively.
Experience in planning and executing deployments across different environments, ensuring high availability and minimal disruption.
Excellent writing skills to clearly communicate release notes and documentation.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple release cycles.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
Experience working with Federal agencies is a plus.
Experience with project management tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, Agile Accelerator, Trello, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Confluence.
Basic technical knowledge of LCNC platforms such as Salesforce, Pega, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Box, Microsoft Power Platform (MPP), or Appian is beneficial.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
CLEARANCE:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
