Principal Therapy Consultant – Structural Heart (Finance)
Position Description:
Principal Therapy Consultant - Structural Heart for Medtronic, Inc., reports to Medtronic headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. Responsible for achieving sales revenue targets by promoting, selling and servicing the Medtronic Core Valve/Evolut TAVR system and related products to interventional cardiology, Vascular surgery, Electrophysiologists, Implanting Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeons. Serve as a partner and resource to the Cardiovascular Group (CVG) field organization and to Catheter Based Therapies (CBT) cross functional teams, including Medical Education, Marketing, Research, and Development. Responsible for sales territory growth in Washington State and Alaska including the greater Seattle region, Bellingham, and Anchorage. Educate and train physicians and allied health professionals on the use of Medtronic products and operating room procedures and the function of devices and algorithms. Provide technical support for TAVR implanting centers, including "scrubbing in" to assist with valve loading and providing technical case support consistent with the instructions for use. Responsible for Imaging interpretation including (Transthoracic Echocardiogram (TTE) and Trans Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE), CT, Angiography). Perform CT reconstruction and pre-case planning with various CT programs to include 3mensio Workstation from Pie Medical Imaging B.V. Responsible for teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel. Sell physician preference implantable products in hospital and clinic environment specially selling and servicing products to Interventional cardiologists and vascular experts for wires, balloons, catheters, and stents. Understand and interprets Endovascular specifically Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) and Thoracic Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (TEVAR) - or Cardiac surgery, Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement (SAVR). Participate in clinical study discussion both reviewing published data and supporting the implant/follow up of both industry-supported and physician-initiated research. Provide ongoing field intelligence reports on competitive activity, changes in markets, distribution, and pricing as well as input on customer preference and product features. Responsible for account, inventory, expense, and budget coordination. #LI-DNI
Must be available and willing to serve customers 24/7 for emergent cases.
Must work remotely from home office within Washington state servicing customers and hospitals within the greater Seattle region, Bellingham, WA, and Anchorage, AK.
Must be insurable (car insurance) and have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to travel 50%-75% within Washington State and Alaska to visit physician customers and hospitals including the greater Seattle region, Bellingham, WA, and Anchorage, AK.
Relocation assistance not available for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Sales Management, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or closely related field and five (5) years' experience as a sales rep. or related occupation for implantable cardiac devices. Or, Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Sales Management, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or closely related field and seven (7) years' experience as a sales rep. or related occupation for implantable cardiac devices.
Must possess at least five (5) years' experience with each of the following: Operating Room procedures, protocols and the function of devices and device algorithms, and "scrubbing in" for cardiac or vascular procedures. Imaging interpretation including TEE, TTE, CT, or Angiograms. CT reconstruction. Teaching and educating healthcare professionals. Selling and servicing products to Interventional cardiologists and vascular experts for wires, balloons, catheters, and stents. EVAR, TEVAR, Cardiac surgery, or SAVR. Clinical study discussion, reviewing published data and supporting the implant/follow up of research. Ongoing field intelligence reports on competitive activity, changes in markets, distribution, and pricing as well as input on customer preference and product features. Account, inventory, expense, and budget coordination.
Salary: $129,000 per year
