Piping Superintendent/Quantity Surveyor (Finance)
Mission
The Principal Site Operations Specialist is a senior leadership role with significant responsibilities in overseeing and optimizing site operations. This individual's expertise in safety, quality, and project management is crucial for achieving project goals efficiently and safely. Leadership, strategic thinking, and advanced problem-solving skills are paramount for success in this role.
Key Accountabilities
1. Efficient Execution of Activities:
- Oversee and ensure the efficient execution of all assigned activities, ensuring they align with and meet project goals and objectives.
- Ensure proper non-conformity detection and recording, as well as relevant corrective actions implementation, if any.
2. Compliance Management:
- Enforce strict compliance with Occupational, Health, Safety, Environment and Social (OHSES) protection, RINA Quality Management System (QMS), and OHSES Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines.
- Perform tasks activities in compliance with the RINA QOHSES System.
3. Safety Measures and Compliance Advisory:
- Provide expert advice to direct Site Operations Managers and Customer Site Manager on additional safety measures to enhance work methods and ensure a safe working environment.
4. Leadership in Environmental and Safety Programs:
- Play a leadership role in supporting and participating in the organization's environmental and safety program, ensuring alignment with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and SA8000 requirements.
- Educate Rina site workers who works with him on safety regulations and accident protocol, enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
5. Communication and Issue Resolution:
- Effectively communicate problems related to field work to Site Operations Managers and Customer Site Manager.
- Assist the Customer Site Manager in promptly resolving issues to maintain project momentum.
6. Accident Reporting:
- Take a lead role in reporting any accidents and near-misses promptly to the Site Manager and to Rina OHSE team throught the proper channels (handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol).
7. Job Scheduling and Performance Oversight:
- Lead communication with the direct Site Operations Manager regarding job schedules.
- Oversee and report on project performance issues, collaborating on effective solutions.
8. Scope of Work Changes Identification:
- Play a key role in assisting the Site Operations Manager in identifying changes to the scope of work promptly.
- Ensure timely communication and documentation of scope changes.
9. Equipment and Departmental Coordination:
- Collaborate with responsible department managers regarding equipment problems.
- Provide advanced input and insights to facilitate effective decision-making related to equipment.
10. Strategic Leadership and Decision Support:
- Provide strategic leadership and decision support to enhance overall project efficiency.
- Offer advanced insights and recommendations for improved operational excellence.
- Attend job walks and bid meetings as a key participant.
- Lead in determining site conditions and contribute significantly to the development of the scope of work.
Education
High School Diploma/GED in General Studies/Other
Qualifications
- Extensive and distinguished experience in construction management, with a substantial portion in leadership and senior roles.
- A proven track record of successfully overseeing and delivering complex and large-scale construction projects.
- In-depth technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Expertise in the latest construction technologies and methodologies.
- Thorough understanding of and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to construction projects.
- Experience navigating and influencing regulatory approvals.
- Certification in safety management or relevant safety training programs.
- Familiarity with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and standards.
