Quality Engineer (Finance)

Spaceflight cryocooler Quality Engineers are responsible for supporting the Quality Management System (QMS) as it directly relates to Spaceflight Cryocooler Production and Engineering by holding responsibility for establishing and ensuring compliance with production and documentation control. This position is also responsible for writing and revising process documents and work instructions for Spaceflight Cryocooler production tasks, processes, and procedures. This position works as part of the Quality Team and will report to the Quality Manager, with special assignment to the Spaceflight Cryocooler business. This position is tightly integrated with Spaceflight Cryocooler Engineering, Testing and Assembly Technicians, Manufacturing Technicians and Leads, and Inspection.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use fingers or hands to manipulate objects; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
