Licensed Practical Nurse - Excelsior Express (Healthcare)
We have 1 positions open to work in Excelsior Express (Sheridan Dr) and the hours are for 3 - 12 hour shifts:
Monday 8:00 am - 9:00 pm, Thursday 8:00 am - 9:00 pm, and Saturday 8:00 - 6:00
Job Summary
This position works on a clinical operations team providing clinical support to our providers while ensuring our patients have a safe and positive experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with clinical leadership to ensure smooth patient flow in the operational areas.
- Perform clinical duties in all areas including Express, Cast Room, and pods.
- Perform clinical duties such as the application and removal of casts, sutures, staples, braces.
- Perform wound care and deliver patient education.
- Answer triages, as needed or directed.
- Room patients, take vitals and history, update electronic medical chart as needed.
- Update and maintain patient medical records, including visit details, insurance and contact information.
- Service patient after visit with appropriate paperwork, schedule follow-up appointment, send out medical records as requested, and answer any patient inquiries.
- Maintain exam rooms to appropriate regulatory standards.
- Audit new patient charts.
- Work as a team to replenish exam room and clinical supplies, including office supplies for designated area.
- Train others as needed or directed.
- Perform any responsibilities of a Medical Assistant, as needed or directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Valid NYS LPN License.
- 2+ years experience in high volume medical office rooming patients.
- Experience in wound care, casting highly preferred.
- EMR knowledge required, MEDENT preferred.
Physical Demands
- Involves standing and walking for entire duration of shift.
- Team member will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Normal visual acuity and hearing are required.
