SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting the tax function with payroll, ensuring compliance with tax codes and laws.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for payroll taxation and compliance. Serves as subject matter expert in the research, analysis, and interpretation of tax codes, laws, or forms. Performs control and reporting processes to ensure payroll tax calculations are accurate and that tax filing payments and returns are remitted timely and accurately. Responsible for ensuring that all federal, state, or local tax returns and related statements or records are validated and correct by reconciling all balances. Works with HRIS and payroll team to ensure appropriate business processes and security is implemented and maintained. Oversees the processing and maintenance of annual W-2's, taxable fringe benefit input, develops reports and processes to summarize this data. Provides support to year-end tax reporting and works with vendors to ensure all imputed income is captured and appropriately reported. Continually works to identify processes and system improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience processing taxes in a corporate, multi-state/country environment.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Demonstrated experience with Oracle Payroll HCM and ADP Smart Compliance.

Knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodology. Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related professional/company standards as well as applicable federal, state and/or local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
