We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Driver to transport marine parts, tools, and supplies between our facilities, vendors, and customers. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to all safety and driving regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and equipment to customers, technicians, and vendors.
Verify the accuracy of orders before loading and upon delivery.
Safely operate company vehicles, following all traffic laws and safety guidelines.
Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the delivery vehicle.
Assist in loading and unloading parts as needed.
Obtain signatures and necessary documentation for deliveries and returns.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, service teams, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs.
Assist in stocking and organizing inventory when not on deliveries.
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.
Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience in delivery driving, warehousing, or logistics is a plus.
Ability to lift and carry heavy parts (up to [insert weight] lbs).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Familiarity with local routes and navigation apps.
Ability to lift 50 pounds
