Health & Nutrition Monitoring Manager (Healthcare)
Make recommendations to the Sr. Health & Nutrition Services Administrator regarding areas needing improvement identified by onsite and desk monitor audits.
Provide on-going coaching and training when necessary.
Assist with administering training to all new hires within their first 90 days (about 3 months) of being hired.
Routine Decision-Making
Determine a regular monitoring schedule.
Determine compliance with Health & Nutrition Policy and Procedures, HSPPS, the Head Start Act, CACFP, and Licensing.
Formal Supervisory Responsibility: Supervise Health & Nutrition Monitoring Specialist (2)
Job Duties:
Plan and schedule regular desk monitoring and on-site visits to assess compliance with Health & Nutrition requirements, policy, and procedures at all YWCA and partner locations. 25%
Review and assess Child Plus Reports to identify areas of risk and overall weakness to determine group and individual coaching and training needs. 15%
Provide training to newly hired staff on policy and procedures, the Head Start Act, and health, CACFP, and licensing processes. 15%
Provide direct support to the YWCA Childcare Partners. 15%
Hire, coach, and evaluate direct reports to achieve maximum performance. 10%
Work collaboratively with the Sr. Health & Nutrition Services Administrator, Health & Nutrition Administrator, Health & Nutrition Specialist, Lead Health Clerk, and Center Managers to identify, plan, and implement Unit adjustments regarding health, nutrition, licensing, and CACFP at the management and center levels, and with the YWCA Childcare Partners. 10%
Provide coaching and ongoing training to individual staff as identified through monitoring visits, at YWCA and Childcare Partners centers. 5%
Attend regularly scheduled meetings within the Unit and with Unit Supervisors. 5%
Formal Education/Experience:
Possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree
Experience in management and supervision
Possess or obtain a Servsafe Manager's Certification within 6 months of hire
Required Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Working knowledge of health services, nutrition services and management processes
Basic knowledge of word processing software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and proficiency with keyboarding
Knowledge and understanding of the HSPPS, Education Policies and Procedures, YWCA Policy and Procedures, CACFP, and Licensing
Oral and written communication skills
Current and valid driver's license
Works with minimal supervision
Possess the ability to problem solve

Must be adaptable, flexible and possess the ability to work with others during stressful situations
