Position Summary:
The associate director will serve as the advisor for the undergraduate student government known as the Student Association, a highly influential organization representing the student body and working closely with upper-level administration. This role will also oversee student engagement, clubs, and OwlNest, Rice's student engagement platform. The associate director also supervises two full-time staff members.
Ideal Candidate Statement:
An ideal candidate has experience managing or working with a student engagement platform, club registration, facilitating leadership programming, and budgeting. We are especially seeking candidates with experience advising a complex organization that works with student policy issues and student governance.
Workplace Requirements:
This position is offered as a hybrid role, combining both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. As a heavily student-focused role, this position would work one day remotely and four days in-office during the academic year, and two days remotely and three days in-office during the summer. Per Rice policy 440 , work arrangements may be subject to change.
Hiring Range: $63,500 - $67,000 annually, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
*Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime .
