SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING DIRECTOR (Finance)
Provide executive leadership with total management responsibility for developing and leading a centralized material planning organization for Kroger manufacturing sites. Accountable for centralized material planning of perishable and non-perishable items with strong performance as measured by key benchmarks. Coordinate and collaborate with all related lines of business and continuously improve material planning processes by integrating new methodologies/technologies and adopting industry best practices. - Any experience in produce or meat industry- Develop the vision and implementation strategy for Centralized Material Planning department for all Kroger manufacturing facilities
- Be a change agent to lead centralized planning; develop and execute communication and change management plans
- Ensure timely and accurate planning of inbound materials and food ingredients for all Kroger manufacturing facilities
- Ensure operational alignment with production plan/KPIs, establish and monitor key metrics, optimize inventory and continuous process improvements
- Develop strategies and processes to ensure supplier accountability and performance management in collaboration with Sourcing
- Provide accurate and timely forecasts to suppliers
- Ensure timely communication of material availability constraints and manage recovery plans
- Drive collaboration with the key leaders in Kroger Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Planning
- Lead the departmental adoption of industry-wide best practices, including performance measurement evolution, technology advancements, cross-functional communication, and process improvement
- Ensure departmental strategic projects are properly scoped, prioritized, staffed and delivering stated objectives
- Develop and manage departmental administrative budgets
- Travel to Kroger locations across the U.S. for relevant stakeholder interest
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
