SYSTEMS SPECIALIST - 2ND SHIFT (Manufacturing)
The Systems Specialist identifies and resolves operational concerns/problems and recommends action plans. Performs all functions relating to day-to-day operations of hardware and software. Coordinates, assists, and monitors third party vendors supporting the systems and facilities. Systems Specialist needs to be able to work stand-alone and make necessary decision when asked to. Ability to be flexible and willing to work various shifts as necessary to support user administration problems.)
Scheduled Days: Sunday through Thursday Scheduled Hours: 7:00pm to 3:30am
Hourly Rate Range: Up to $22.00 plus $1.00 shift differential *** based on skills and qualifications
Responsibilities: (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
1. Assists the Systems & Industrial Engineer (SIE) in monitoring all areas of multiple WMS operating systems continuously to provide 24/7 system availability for users and members. Will adjust work schedule to work with all shifts and departments as needed.
2. Understands various reporting metrics and identifies concerns. Communicates in a timely manner to leadership as required. Responds to service alert messages with urgency and creates incident tickets to drive to resolution.
3. Trouble-shoots, maintains, and updates all equipment use with WMS systems & hardware. Places appropriate service calls when necessary.
4. Assists the SIE in performing job scheduling duties that involve interaction with job scheduling software, job monitoring, job submission, and handling abends by notifying programmers or vendors when necessary.
5. Trains or retrain warehouse workers in proper use of the hardware and the various software systems to perform their jobs. Updates and/or maintains in the development of day-to-day procedures and instructional documents.
Education & Experience:
· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
· 1-3 years of experience, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.
· Experience in problem solving and documentation.
· Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
